Donate by honoring/remembering a loved one, making a will or bequest, or a gift of securities. 

What better tribute to a friend or family member than to make a gift in their name which in turn will help to provide a better future for thousands of Los Angeles' inner-city youth? At the donor's request, a special acknowledgement will be sent to the family of those who are being honored or memorialized. 

Planned giving is also an opportunity for a donor to name City Scholars Foundation® as a beneficiary in his or her will, trust, life insurance policy or retirement plan. If you are considering naming City Scholars Foundation® in your will, you may wish to incorporate the following language: "I bequeath City Scholars Foundation® of Los Angeles, the sum of $____ or other property." 

A donation of securities can improve your tax situation while providing significant funding to City Scholars Foundation®. When you donate stocks and bonds that are worth more today than what you paid for them, you can usually take a tax deduction for the full current value, while not  having to declare the appreciated value as a capital gain.
