Every
day, neighborhood after-school programs help thousands
of inner-city kids stay in school, out of trouble
and on track to a brighter future as
tomorrow's leaders, educators and professionals,
despite the challenges of poverty, gangs, drugs
and teen pregnancy.
Building
and sustaining an effective after-school program,
however, is no easy feat.
Leaders themselves often struggle to avoid burn-out,
as they are constantly challenged to do more with
less.
Established
in 1993,
City Scholars Foundation®
trains, coaches
and inspires extraordinary non-profit leaders,
helping them build and sustain quality neighborhood
after-school programs thousands of inner-city
youth depend
upon to become inner-“City Scholars®.”
Help
Us...
invest
in leaders who invest so much
helping
more than 6,300 promising inner-city youth in
Los Angeles
achieve
against the odds.

The
generosity and active involvement of corporations,
foundations and individuals makes our work possible.
